Investigators Need Help in Identifying Suspect

The City of Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at approximately 12:42 pm at the Barto’s Service Station located at 1201 E. Creighton Avenue. A witness reported that the perpetrator entered the store briefly, exited, then returned armed with a handgun and with his face concealed. The perpetrator fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
Investigators have obtained a still-image captured via in-store surveillance and are hopeful that someone will recognize the armed robbery suspect. Anyone knowing the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department, or Crime Stoppers at 260 436-STOP (7867) where a cash reward is possible for information received.
This incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
