Enhance Your Health and Prepare for the Fort4Fitness 4 Mile or 10K
Women of all ages are invited to take the next step in improving their health by joining a “Tapestry Walk the Talk” weekly walking group to connect and socialize through fitness. Walk the Talk is a 12-week program, from July 10 through Sept. 27, designed to help women create positive, healthy habits and prepare for the Fort4Fitness 4 mile or 10K event, which will be held Saturday, Sept.
29.Women have the option of attending one or both sessions: Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Parkview North Family Park, located near the new hospital off Dupont Road; or Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) Walb Student Union.
The walks will take place throughout the IPFW campus or the trails of the Parkview Regional Medical Center. Restrooms, stopping points, and water are available along the routes. Training sessions will include a warm-up, fitness walk, and mini-educational offerings from local health professionals.
Registration is open to all females 7 years of age and older. The $20 nonrefundable fee includes a starter kit, training booklet, and a t-shirt. Registrations will be accepted through June, 29, 2012, and are available at ipfw.edu/tapestry.
