Free parking available for MLK Bridge Dedication
Monday, June 4th event draws community together, honors Dr. King
Residents attending the City of Fort Wayne’s Lighting Ceremony and Unity Walk across the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge should find parking available in numerous lots downtown.
Free parking is available at Headwaters Park, Freimann Square, at government-owned lots off the intersection of Superior & Harrison streets and off Calhoun Street near Headwaters Park West or the first three levels of The Plaza Garage, attached to the Edwin J. Rousseau Centre (formerly the City-County Building). Metered parking along downtown streets is also free after 5 p.m.
The event will take place Monday, June 4 at 9 p.m. at the bridge on Clinton Street, between Fourth Street and Headwaters Park. Walk participants are asked to gather near Headwaters Park.
