IPFW to Offer Online Master’s in Nursing this Fall
Informational Open Houses Scheduled

Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) Division of Continuing Studies, Department of Nursing, and College of Health and Human Services announce all four areas of specialization of the Master of Science with a Major in Nursing program are moving to an online format, beginning with the fall 2012 semester. IPFW offers Master of Science degrees in Adult Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health Practitioner, Nurse Educator, and Nurse Executive.

IPFW nursing students have a 100 percent pass rate on national certification exams. IPFW is a leader in advanced informatics and one of only 40 nursing schools nationwide where students use real, live, electronic health records to enhance data collection and better prepare for the dynamic healthcare environment. Mobile technology is integrated into the curriculum, making students well prepared for the ever-changing industry.

Open Houses will be held at several branches of the Allen County Public Library to give the community an opportunity to learn about the program. Those interested in the program will also be able to speak directly with Deb Poling, assistant professor and director of graduate nursing programs.

Open house schedule:

? April 25, 5-7 p.m. at the Aboite Branch, 5630 Coventry Lane
? May 2, 5-7 p.m. at the Dupont Branch, 536 E. Dupont Road
? May 16, 6-8 p.m. at the Georgetown Branch, 6600 E. State Blvd.
