Have Some Fun and Get in the Games: Senior Games
(May 19, 2011) – Hey Baby Boomers, June 6 – 23 everyone 50 and over can participate in the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department Senior Games. Skill level doesn’t matter. This is a great time to try a sport you’ve never attempted. No need to feel unqualified or self-conscious. You’ll meet lots of like-minded, active adults and will have a great time competing for prizes and trophies.
For just $1 per event, participants can register for basketball, bocce, bowling, bridge, checkers, croquet, darts, euchre, pinochle, softball throw, home run derby, timed walk, shuffleboard, table tennis, horseshoes, 9 ball-billiards, 38 billiard, miniature golf, a walking tour, a bicycle tour, men’s golf, putting, pickleball, men’s basketball, free throw, 3-point shot and corn-hole.
The registration deadline for the Senior Games is Friday, May 27 by 4 pm if you want to play for $1 per event. After May 27, the cost will be $1.50 per event. Select your chosen events and deliver or mail entries to the Community Center at 233 W. Main Street! Please make checks payable to Board of Park Commissioners.
