Health department prepares for move to Citizens Square
(May 17, 2011) – The Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health will be closed on Friday, May 27 and Tuesday, May 31 so that its offices in the City-County Building can be moved to Citizens Square.
“We are excited about the opportunity to serve our community better, but we ask for everyone’s patience and understanding as we complete this transition,” said Administrator Mindy Waldron.
Although there will be a temporary disruption in routine services on those moving days, the Department of Health will continue to provide critical services as needed.
Once relocated, the Department of Health will occupy the third floor of the building at 200 East Berry Street. Parking will be available in several locations nearby.
The Department of Health divisions/programs affected by this move will be:

[/list]The clinical programs in the Medical Annex building (4813 New Haven Ave.) and the Vector Control & Environmental Services office (2242 Carroll Road) will remain in their current locations.
The Department of Health will provide updates on the progress of the move through the news media, its Web site, www.allencountyhealth.com, and via the Nixle alert system.
