Democrats united entering the general election, Henry rallied volunteers and supporters for upcoming campaign
Tonight Mayor Tom Henry rallied Democrats at an election night party held at the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Hall. Mayor Henry was joined by local Democratic candidates and Allen County Democratic Chair Mike Bynum, demonstrating the strength and unity of the Democratic party in advance of the general election season.
“Our city has momentum on our side but we can’t afford to go backwards,” said Mayor Henry. “Over the last four years, we’ve kept spending in check, balanced our budgets, invested in our neighborhoods and helped businesses do what they do best: create new, good paying jobs. I’m running to continue the work that we’ve started and to keep Fort Wayne moving forward.
Chairman Mike Bynum emphasized the unity of the Democratic Party in Fort Wayne and Allen County, and highlighted the strong support received by the Democratic candidates.
“The Democrats here in Fort Wayne and Allen County are unified and ready to get to work,” said Bynum. “We’ve got a terrific group of Democratic candidates, and our supporters are energized and ready for the upcoming general election.”
