News release from Congressman Marlin Stutzman:
Stutzman Statement on House Budget Proposal
(Washington, D.C., April 5, 2011) – Today, Congressman Marlin Stutzman (R-IN-03) along with other members of the House Budget Committee and Senator Jeff Session (R-AL) stood with Chairman [Paul] Ryan (R-WI-01) during the unveiling of the House FY 2012 Budget Proposal. The Path to Prosperity: Restoring America’s Promise sets the guidelines for debt elimination and job growth while protecting the promises made to seniors and future generations.
“This Budget will work to eliminate debt while fostering job growth and keeping the promise of an American Dream available for all generations.” Stutzman stated “I am very proud of the hard work that the House Budget Committee has done in bringing forward, on time, a Constitutional, reasonable and responsible plan. This budget proposal keeps our promises to seniors by protecting Social Security and Medicare for those 55 and older. It will also allow the States the local control they need to keep Medicaid and other programs operating for those in need. We must eliminate our National Debt now while it can still be controlled.”
