Stutzman Asks Senate to Pass the Bill

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Stutzman (R-IN-03), along with his House colleagues, will take to the Senate steps to again to ask Senator [Harry] Reid to pass the full year Continuing Resolution. The Senate has until Friday to pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the government through September or there will be a limited government shutdown. Monday will be the fourth day that Members of the House meet on the steps of the Senate, the press conference will begin at 4:30PM on the East Senate Steps.

“Senator Reid, it is time that you listen to the will of the Senate and find a number that will work.” Stutzman stated “Now is the time for action as we rapidly approach a government shutdown, Senate Democrats must pass the bill to stop this from happening. It is time to stop arguing over pennies and start working to cut dollars from deficit spending.”
