News release from the Allen County Right to Life:
Social Issues Mayoral Candidate Forum to be Held March 31 in Fort Wayne
A unique mayoral forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at Concordia High School in Fort Wayne. All Fort Wayne mayoral candidates have been invited by Allen County Right to Life, The Coalition for a Better Fort Wayne and Indiana Family Institute to discuss social issues with concerned citizens.
A variety of topics will be covered, including the right to life, marriage protection and gambling. Voters will have the opportunity to submit their questions to candidates at the forum. Ryan Elijah from Indiana’s NewsCenter will moderate.
“We are pleased to partner with The Coalition for a Better Fort Wayne and Indiana Family Institute to give voters an opportunity to hear from candidates on social issues they care about,” said Cathie Humbarger, executive director of Allen County Right to Life. “We look forward to learning of candidates’ positions and ideas on a variety of topics that could impact our city during their service as mayor.”
The candidate forum will be held on Thursday, March 31 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Concordia High School Auditorium, located at 1601 Saint Joe River Drive in Fort Wayne.
About Allen County Right to Life
The members of Allen County Right to Life are dedicated to organizing, educating and representing pro-life issues in Allen County. As the largest pro-life advocacy group in northern Indiana, we are united to affirm that abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia are negative, violent and primitive responses to complex social problems that demand genuine compassion and rational, responsible thinking. Further, we denounce fetal stem-cell research and human cloning because they involve the willful destruction of human life. We reject the notion that society may destroy innocent life to solve any problem.
