News release from The Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show:

‘Fall in Love with Your Home Again’ at 38th Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show

The 38th annual Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show returns to the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in early March featuring over 650 home
and garden exhibits. The show is the largest consumer event in the Tri State area, providing the latest in products and ideas for home and garden.

This year’s show takes place Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6. Hours are 11 am to 9 pm Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday, and 11am to 5 pm on Sunday.

For nearly 40 years, over 40,000 visitors – including gardeners, decorators and do-it yourself aficionados – have converged on the Coliseum during the show to discover innovative ideas for inside and outside the home. This year’s event, themed “Fall in Love with Your Home Again,” will feature an expanded Garden Gallery filled with thousands of fragrant blooms and breathtaking landscape showcases.

“Literally hundreds of experts will be available to offer our guests tips on how to reinvent their homes, from tackling needed repairs to going for those major improvements,” said Karen Tejera, executive show producer and president of Fort Wayne Shows, Inc. “And to make it convenient for our showgoers, many of the products recommended by our experts will be available right at the show.

“Whether you’re newly settled or a 3D-yearresident, you’re sure to find those special touches that truly will help you ‘fall in love with your home again!'” she continued.

Showgoers will learn all the tricks of the outdoor trade from arborists and Purdue University Horticulture educators as they discuss growing and managing heirloom vegetable gardehs, simple herbs, landscape plants, trees, and container gardens on the popular Master Gardener Stage.

Among the multitude of Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show features is an appearance by Michael Weishan, host of PBS’ “Victory Garden” and former gardening editor of both Country Living and New Old House magazines. Familiar to viewers of CBS’ “The Early Show” and “The Today Show” on NBC, Weishan will share design tips, professional advice and trademark humor with fellow gardeners at 4 and 7 pm on Thursday, and at 1, 4 and 7 pm on Friday.

Showgoers also are invited to laugh with and learn from The Duct Tape Guys, the quirky comedy duo who have dedicated their lives to singing the praises of that humble household product. For more than a decade, Tim Nyberg and Jim Berg have entertained audiences and offered thousands of wildly creative uses for “The Ultimate Power Tool”- duct tape. Their “Taping Spaces” presentations, brought to
you by Windows Doors & More, are scheduled for 3 and 7 pm Thursday and Friday, and 12noon, 3 and 7 pm on Saturday. Visit the Duct Tape Guys on the web.
