News release from Congressman Marlin Stutzman:

Stutzman Votes to Investigate Agency Regulations

(Washington, DC – February 11, 2011) – Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) today voted for House Resolution 72 which directs certain standing committees to inventory and review existing, pending and proposed regulations and orders from agencies of the Federal Government. The committees will now open oversight investigations and hearings into the impact that the Administration’s Agencies have had or will have on jobs and economic growth.

“Nearly the entire House of Representatives (391-28) voted to uphold their Constitutional duty and start the hard work of oversight on the Federal Government.” Stutzman stated “There are agencies that continue to put burdens on the hard working people of Northeast Indiana by encumbering area industries, including orthopedics, automotive, RV, steel and agriculture. We are obligated to protect jobs from an overreaching government.”
