Press release from St. Joseph Hospital:
Festival Tree Donated to St. Joe Burn Center
Superhero-themed tree to comfort burned children
(December 9, 2010) – Although the Embassy’s 26th Annual Festival of Trees is now over, the good will generated by this local event is living on for children receiving care at the St. Joseph Regional Burn Center.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Thrivent Community – Greater Hoagland, a superhero-themed tree will be on display throughout the holiday season in the outpatient burn and wound clinic at St. Joe. Children admitted to the burn center or seen in the clinic may also take an ornament from the tree to help them have a super holiday.
A leadership board of Thrivent Financial members comes together quarterly to identify what’s important to members and to set strategies on how to grow membership, trust and community benefit. Members of the Thrivent Community-Greater Hoagland are Thrivent Financial members who are served by the Greater Hoagland Group of financial representatives and primarily live in the Fort Wayne, Decatur, and Hoagland area.
Thrivent Communities offer members and their guests a variety of social, educational and charitable events throughout the year. Members served by select teams of Thrivent Financial representatives have a unique opportunity to make friends, have fun and give back to the community.
