Pokagon hosting Geminid meteor shower viewing, Dec. 13
(December 1, 2010) – Pokagon State Park Interpretive Services and the Astronomical Society of Hillsdale County will hold a Geminid meteor shower viewing on the park’s CCC Shelter lawn, Dec. 13, from 8-10 p.m.
This is a peak night for the annual shower of shooting stars. Members from the Hillsdale County group from Michigan will be on hand with telescopes for viewing deep space objects.
Hot drinks will be provided near the CCC Shelter fireplace. Guests should bring plenty of warm clothes and binoculars. Viewers may come for all or part of the evening.

The program is free and open to all. The entrance gate will not be staffed at the time of night, so there is no entrance fee.
