Judge-Elect Wendy W. Davis to be sworn in on December 21, 2010
Wendy W. Davis will be sworn in as Judge of the Allen Superior Court Criminal Division on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the Allen County Courthouse, Courtroom One. The oath of office will be administered by the Honorable Frances C. Gull, Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division.
Elected to the bench on November 2, Judge-elect Davis will serve in the Allen Superior Court Criminal Division beginning on January 1, 2011.
Prior to her coming to the bench, Wendy Davis was a partner in the firm Beckman Lawson LLP. Among her areas of practice were Labor Law, Employment Law, Federal Litigation and Civil Litigation. She was admitted to practice in Texas in 1991 and Indiana in 1998. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1988 and received her J.D. from Valparaiso University in 1991.
In addition to her practice of civil and employment law, Wendy Davis also has extensive experience as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Texas and in Fort Wayne, including multiple offender cases, violent crimes and drug cases.
Wendy Davis is married to Dr. Scott Davis, Chief of Anesthesia at Parkview Hospital and is the mother of three children.
