Construction set for next month on Adams Center Road

Press release from the Allen County Board of Commissioners:

Construction Set for Next Month on Adams Center Road
Work at SR 930 intersection part of Maplecrest Extension project

As part of the Maplecrest Road Extension Project, construction work will begin next month at the intersection of Adams Center Road and State Route 930.

The intersection will be closed on September 2 for installation of a water line crossing. This closure will last for one day and the intersection will be opened back up to traffic during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Beginning on September 7, Adams Center will again close from the SR 930 intersection to 1000 feet south of the intersection. This closure is set for 90 days to widen and pave Adams Center. There will be a concrete barrier placed along the south side of SR 930 at the intersection to keep motorists from making the turn to the south. As with all highway projects, the length of the closure could be affected by weather.

Advanced warning signs with the closure dates are to be placed along Adams Center Road. The official detour route takes traffic down Meyer Road to Moeller Road and back to Adams Center Road.
