A note from the Historic West Main Street Farmer’s Market:
Hot Summer Greetings!
Michigan Freestone Peaches make their yearly return to the market this Friday- along with all the other summertime favorites: Fresh picked local temptation sweetcorn, vine ripened tomatoes, cantaloupes, beans, zucchini, squash, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, watermelons, blueberries and blackberries.
Lots of cannas that are ready to bloom + hanging geranium baskets for your garden… Breads, jams, meats, pies and all the other goodies… Ribs and beer by Mad Anthony followed by a root beer or red pop float from the ice cream man – life couldn’t get any better!
On Friday, July 30 the entire market will begin accepting SNAP/EBT benefits. We feel very privileged to be one of 8 farm markets in the state to offer fresh, nutritous and local food choices that can be purchased with SNAP benefits. Please direct folks our way- we want this to be a success for our community!
Hope to see you and your friends this Friday evening… (rain or shine).
Best wishes,
ChrisBuy local from your proud Indiana farm producers
Historic West Main Street Farmers Market, 1936 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808 EVERY Friday 3-8 PM
We are just getting ready to set up our local market. After having a successful market in Midland Michigan last year we decided to start a fresh produce market in Clare Mi. Your mention of Canas reminded me about the Glads we offered last year. They were a hot item especially on the weekends. It’s a great group of people to deal with at the market!
Good Luck!
