Parkview leaders to be featured speakers at national conference
(June 1, 2010) – Leaders from Parkview Health and Parkview Noble Hospital will be featured speakers at the Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC) Excellence in Healthcare Conference June 6-9 in San Diego.
Mike Packnett, president & CEO, Parkview Health, will present “A Reflection of Achievement.” Packnett will be the featured speaker at the awards dinner program. He will describe how Parkview has worked to enhance the patient experience and patient loyalty.
Dr. Greg Johnson, associate chief medical officer, Parkview Hospital, will lead a discussion about “Building Physician Loyalty through Survey Tools.” He will highlight Parkview’s commitment to open communication with physicians.
Parkview Noble Hospital leaders will make a presentation titled, “Yes, Virginia, Culture Does Drive Performance.” Dave Hunter, chief operating officer; Cathy Byrd, vice president of patient services; Charlotte Olsen-Chiddister, surgery manager; and Christina Blaskie, service excellence coordinator, will discuss the tools, tactics and teamwork that went into Parkview Noble Hospital’s commitment to providing excellent patient services.
Parkview Noble’s Hunter will also participate in a roundtable discussion, “What Do CEOs Really Think.”
Last year, Parkview was presented with the 2009 PRC President’s Award. Each year, PRC presents its top award to one organization or individual that has made an extraordinary contribution to healthcare over the past year. Parkview was chosen for gains in patients’ perception of care and how the health system went about achieving the gains. Parkview was also recognized for engaging employees, developing initiatives centered around excellence and facing challenges head-on.
