Aboite Center Rd. Closing Delayed Until April 12
The closing of Aboite Center Road between Dicke Road and Coventry Lane, originally scheduled to begin tomorrow, has been moved back to April 12.
The Allen County Highway Department said the decision to delay the closing will allow crews to concentrate on the realignment of Dicke Road and the new signalized intersection at the entrance to the Lutheran Hospital campus and Aboite Center Road for an extra week.
Construction work on Aboite Center between Dicke Road and Coventry Lane is expected to last until early to mid-June. The posted detour for eastbound traffic will be south on Homestead Road to US 24 then east to Aboite Center and the reverse for westbound traffic. Traffic will be maintained at the intersection of Coventry Lane and Aboite Center.
