The Fort Wayne City Council meets in Committee Session tonight at 5:30 pm in room 128 of the City-County Building.
The agenda may be downloaded here.
Up for discussion tonight (not a complete list, but those items of interest):
- The Collective Bargaining Agreement for the 2010-2012 contract with the Police Union. Â You may remember that the contract included a 1.5% raise for police officers, however, the City Council in October approved only a 1% raise for City workers with the exception of the Fire Department.
- City Utilities salary ordinance
- A contract with VS Engineering to provide professional engineering services for the Downtown Fort Wayne Stormwater/Sewer
Masterplan with a total cost of $327,400. - An ordinance to amend the City Code regarding Parking.  This should clarify some glitches in the ordinances which will enable to the Courts to prosecute parking offenders.  The problem is that the current ordinance, the way it reads, applies to a parked car and offenders were going before the  court saying they hadn’t parked the car in the offensive place, so why would they have to pay the ticket.  Most tickets were thrown out because of this.
