Remember, this is not a completely done deal. Â Mayor Tom Henry could veto the budget, which would mean it would have to be re-voted on by the City Council by November 1st. Â However, the danger would then be that the Council would refuse, the 2009 budget would essentially be carried over which would result in a higher budget and certainly one that is not balanced. Â A reason he would want to veto the budget would be to preserve his Neighborhood Advocates and restore the raise for city employees to 1.5%.
