The VintageTrans-Am Race
Summit RC Raceway will bring the exciting world of radio-controlled cars to The VintageTrans-Am Race on Saturday, July 11. Classic 1966-1970 Trans-Am radio controlled cars will compete on a road course at the end of Calhoun Street in Headwaters
Park West. The race will begin at Noon, and is free for spectators. Participant preregistration entry fee is $25, or $35 on the day of the event. Entry forms are available on-line.
Rock the Fort – Rock Crawling Competition
Rock the Fort on Saturday, July 18, will bring the Midwest’s top radio-controlled trucks to an exciting Rock Crawling competition over rough terrain in Headwaters Park West Terrace Garden. Also hosted by Summit RC Raceway, the event will begin at Noon, and is free for spectators. Participant pre-registration entry fee is $25, or $35 on the day of the event. Entry forms are available on-line.
Dale Monroe, President of Summit RC Raceway, said, “We are happy to be a part of this year’s Three Rivers Festival celebration, to share the fun of radio-controlled cars and trucks with the public. Practice for the Trans-Am event will be held on Friday, July 10
from 6-9pm.”
