765 ready for excursions!!

Last Friday, I was priveleged to be able to attend a photo opportunity at the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society.  The subject of the photo opportunity was the FWRHS’s 2-8-4 Berkshire NKP 765.  Nine passenger cars were lined up, the 765 was pulled from the shop and moved into place.  Photos were taken and the 765 was moved back to the shop.  Assisting with the movement of the 765 was a former Amtrak F40, now Ohio Central Railroad #452.  For those keeping track, when wearing Amtrak paint, the 452 was numbered 348.  Anyway, even though the weather wasn’t the best – light rain, drizzle – photos were taken and dreams of standing trackside with the 765 rushing by were reignited.  Thanks to Kelly Lynch for allowing AFW to attend!
