A RESOLUTION of the Common Council of the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Board of Commissioners for the conveyance of Wheel Tax and Surtax RevenueThe County and City require additional revenue to maintain repairs to streets, roads and bridges in their jurisdiction – an agreement is contingent upon the County Council adopting an ordinance doubling the current Wheel Tax and Surtax rates. For additional funds
This will double the local wheel surtax included in your yearly vehicle license renewals. Â Most of the money raised will go to Allen County for bridge maintenance and repairs while a portion will be kept by the City of Fort Wayne for use on road projects. Â The New Haven City Council recently approved a similar agreement with Allen County.
