The TinCaps, with some dates already reserved, are looking for talented individuals, groups, and instrumentalist to fill out the 2009 schedule.
“Over the course of a 70 game season we certainly look for variety,” said Michael Limmer, Vice President of Marketing for the TinCaps. “We have the opportunity to showcase unique talent while at the same time honoring our country’s national anthem.”
The team will hold tryouts during the coming weeks and interested performers are encouraged to contact Abby Naas, TinCaps Promotions Manager, to reserve an audition time. It might take two days, it might take two weeks. It just depends on the quality of the performers. There is no guarantee that every performer that tries out will have the chance to sing during a game this season.”
National Anthem singers for a Fort Wayne TinCaps game do not receive monetary compensation, but they are given four tickets to the game in which they sing and the chance to perform before a live audience at Parkview Field.
Interested performers should contact Abby Naas, with the TinCaps, at (260) 407-2812 to schedule an audition date and time.
