Goldner launches new program
City Councilwoman Karen Goldner, D-2nd will launch a new program on Fort Wayne Access titled “Constructive Thinking” beginning on Wednesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. on City TV Comcast cable channel 58 or Verizon FIOS channel 28.
The time slot is where many viewers regularly tune in to watch the live “Council Call-in” program with different Council members hosting. Councilwoman Goldner will take a different direction in that her 30-minute program will feature a topic with a variety of guests both in the studio and in the field. The concept for the show grew out of Goldner’s desire for citizens to understand how the nuts and bolts of city government work from storm drains and sewers to roads and streets.
The inaugural show will feature various guests from City Utilities discussing aspects of the city’s Consent Decree for Long Term Control Plan, sewer repair and maintenance, and featured river levee that helped in last weeks flood fight. Each program will also include a short segment called “How It Works” that will show viewers how city workers get a particular job accomplished or even how a resident can accomplish a task at home.
The program will re-run various times during the month. Check local listings for 58 and 28.
