I was down earlier to Headwaters Park. Â Unfortunately, I worked elsewhere today and missed all of the excitement. Â Anyone who doubts Headwaters Park’s role in flood control needs to take a walk in the park – wear your hip waders! Â There is very little of the park that is not underwater. Â Which is good for me – job security with all the clean up! Â I did take some photos of the park and will feature them later tonight or as soon as I have the time. Â I’m also planning a trip to the Lincoln Tower Observation Deck sometime tomorrow morning.
Press release from the City:
North Clinton (US 27 South) Reopens
North Clinton Street (US 27 South) is now open but is restricted to two lanes from State Boulevard to Superior Street. City crews successfully constructed temporary clay dikes along Clinton Street to keep the street open.
Southbound truck traffic will continue to be rerouted from Lima and Coldwater to Coliseum Boulevard and then East Washington Boulevard to enter downtown. The Indiana Department of Transportation has posted detour signs at these intersections.
Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time for their Friday morning commute.
