Governor Mitch Daniels and Former Governor Joe Kernan will be at The Chamber tomorrow from noon to 1:15 pm. Â The subject will be local government reform. Â
This meeting is being organized by MySmartGov.org which is an advocacy group supported by business and union reps.  They have scheduled state-wide meetings in hopes of pressuring lawmakers to approve the Indiana Commission on Local Government Reform recommendations.  Kernan and Indiana Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard headed the commission which issued a report citing 27 ways to cut waste, create efficiencies, increase accountability and reform our antiquated local government systems.
