United We Read! 1/16/2009

IPFW is hosting the Remnant Trust through this spring at the campus.  From the website:

The Remnant Trust makes available a world-class collection of manuscripts, first- and early-edition works in original form, such as the Declaration of Independence, the Magna Carta, and the Federalist Papers. The Remnant Trust is comprised of over 900 manuscripts, books, pamphlets, and related documents on subjects related to individual liberty and human dignity. The IPFW exhibit will include more than 50 manuscripts, books, pamphlets, and documents on subjects related to individual liberty and human dignity.

This Friday, January 16th at noon at the Allen County Courthouse, the community and school children from around the area are invited to participate in the kickoff event.  The featured moment will be the reading of the Declaration of Independence.  This will be led by three people who played important roles in the Declaration’s creation.

This is an opportunity to gather together and be reminded of what has made our Country great!
