There will also be a short presentation on the new Upper St. Joseph River Watershed Management Plan and cost-share program by Sharon Partridge

There are very few educational field days offered to the public about septic systems. That is why the sponsoring organizations are excited to bring this learning opportunity to people who own and maintain septic systems.
Watershed Program Manager Sharon Partridge stated that “homeowners are challenged with the task of keeping their septic systems in top working condition to protect their own health and ensure protection of our surface water resources. At the workshop, participants will learn how septic systems work, the limitations of our soils to process effluent, and how to maintain septic systems for optimal performance.”
