A single vehicle accident on I69 leaves 1 dead. On March 3rd, 2025, the Fort Wayne Police Department started receiving calls on a vehicle accident at approximately 2:50am. Early reports were that a vehicle had struck the median around the 313-mile marker on I69 northbound. When Officers arrived on scene, a male was found unconscious inside the vehicle. Medics transported the occupant to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
At this time, the inside 2 lanes of northbound traffic on I69 are closed, leaving 1 lane still open. Traffic will be congested in this area for the immediate future.
The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT team and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
