Details/Summary:
On February 14, 2025, at approximately 0013 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an area hospital in reference to a walk-in shooting victim. Detectives arrived on scene and determined that the shooting scene was located in the 1400 block of Ashley Ave. Austin L. Freed 26yo was identified as the suspect in the shooting. The FWPD Homicide Task Force located and took Austin Freed into custody without incident on a traffic stop in the 6800 block of Old U.S. 27 in Fremont, Indiana. Austin Freed is being held at the Allen County Jail on preliminary charges of: Murder-Attempted, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Armed Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, and Intimidation.
