Details/Summary:
On July 18, 2024, a mother summoned an officer to her residence to report that her daughter was recently molested by Dave Williams. Officer H. Priskorn met with the family to take the preliminary report. Officer Priskorn then contacted the Investigative Support Division to ensure there would be an investigation. Detective Miranda Lasley, an investigator assigned to the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS), was assigned to the case. Later, the minor child participated in a Forensic Interview at the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children where she disclosed child sexual abuse (CSA) by the alleged defendant. Detective Lasley completed her case and submitted it to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for the alleged defendant. He was taken into custody yesterday by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department-Warrants Division.
Detective Lasley was assisted by the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center and an Advocate with the FWPD Victims Assistance.
