The Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Unit identified a 17yo male juvenile as the suspect of the shooting that took place on May 20, 2024, at 1237 hours in the 700 block of Drexel Ave (CN# 24F059106). On June 10, 2024, the 17yo male juvenile was located inside a residence in the 5100 block of Kyle Rd. The 17yo male juvenile was preliminary charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. The 17yo male juvenile is currently being held at the Allen County Juvenile Center. The FWPD Homicide Unit was assisted in this shooting investigation by the Narcotics Division, Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, Aerial Support Unit, FWPD Uniform Division and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
