The Allen County Coroner has ruled the deaths of four family members found on Gay Street as the 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd 2021 Allen County Homicides.
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 3, 2021) – On Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at about 1045 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was contacted and requested at 2904 Gay Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana on a problem unknown investigation. First officers on scene entered the home and found the deceased bodies of 1 adult female, and 3 juveniles. The scene was secured and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority Medics entered into the scene and verified death. The Allen County Coroner’s Office was requested on scene.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin of Sarah Nicole Zent, female white 26 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. An autopsy has been completed and her Cause of Death has been determined to be Strangulation and Multiple Stab Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Sarah Nicole Zent is the 19th Homicide for Allen County in 2021.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin of Carter Mathew Zent, male white 5 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. An autopsy has been completed and his Cause of Death has been determined to be Multiple Stab Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Carter Mathew Zent is the 20th Homicide for Allen County in 2021.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin of Ashton Duwayne Zent, male white 3 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. An autopsy has been completed and his Cause of Death has been determined to be Multiple Stab Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Ashton Duwayne Zent is the 21st Homicide for Allen County in 2021.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin of Aubree Christine Zent, female white 2 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. An autopsy has been completed and her Cause of Death has been determined to be Multiple Stab Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Aubree Christine Zent is the 22nd Homicide for Allen County in 2021.
This investigation continues with the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
