Tonight’s Fort Wayne, Indiana weather story from the National Weather Service regarding the Wind Advisory and heavy rainfall.
Strong winds and heavy rain tonight
Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 25, 2021) – Winds will increase overnight with gusts of 40 to 60 mph between Midnight and 8 AM Friday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible south and east of US 24 during the overnight hours. Along with the high winds, rainfall will increase and become heavy at times. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.6 inches will cause rises on local rivers, tributaries, and streams. This can be especially dangerous at night when visibility is reduced by wind-driven rain. The wind will decrease significantly by mid-day Friday. After a cool and breezy day Friday, a warmup is expected Saturday.
