Armed robber arrested as he attempts to flee
Investigation Details:
(January 20, 2016) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Dollar General Store located at 14550 Amstutz Road. At approximately 8:35 a.m., 1/20/2016, a male black entered the store armed with a handgun. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect attempted to flee from the rear entrance of the store. Allen County Sheriff’s Officers were already on the scene and apprehended the suspect as he exited the store. The handgun and cash were recovered during the arrest. A white Pontiac Grand Prix which was found unoccupied and running near the scene is believed to be the vehicle used by the suspect. No injuries were reported.
