Heavy thundersnow moving across the area
(February 17, 2014) – A heavy band of snow is moving across the forecast area with snowfall rates as high as 3+ inches per hour. This will cause near whiteout conditions and will make travel very treacherous. There have been several reports of thundersnow within the line as well which indicates very heavy snowfall rates. Avoid travel if at all possible for the rest of the afternoon and early evening.
