Why This Film Now?

Trainsforming America director Rebecca Sansom says, “I hope that the film can play a part in encouraging policy-makers and citizens to realize that expanding our rail infrastructure is crucial to the future of transportation in the U.S.”
“This film is a basic primer on why trains are wonderful and, oddly, how to use them,” writes Christian Wolmar, author of The Great American Revolution: The History of American Railroads.

Upcoming screenings of the acclaimed documentary in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; and Nashville, Tennessee are drawing attention to intercity passenger rail development in diverse regions of the U.S. More information about the film is available at www.trainsformingamericafilm.com.

This PNC-sponsored event benefits the work of the Northeast Indiana Passenger Rail Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization working since 2009 to plan and promote a high speed rail corridor connecting Fort Wayne to Chicago as well as points east.
