Press release from the American Heart Association:

Enter the American Heart Association’s Start! Walking Video Contest
Tell us why you love to walk and your video could make it to the big screen

(July 6, 2010) – Did you know that for every one hour of brisk walking, you can increase your life expectancy by two hours? Walking is also easy, safe and free – and has the lowest dropout rate of any type of exercise.

Now you can win big by entering the American Heart Association’s Start! Walking Video Challenge powered by PHP and Parkview Health. Show us why you or your company is participating in the Start! Heart Walk or how you are getting active. We want to hear from executives, team captains, walkers, youth groups, and more!

Here’s how to enter:

  • Create a video (up to 4 minutes) that shows how you get moving
  • Upload your video to YouTube (www.youtube.com) or your company’s website
  • Email the web link of your video to Wendy King at wendy.king@heart.org
  • You may also post your video on your Heart Walk company page and your company website
  • Submissions must be received by August 25, 2010

If we select your video, you’ll win lunch for you and 15 of your friends and an exciting Start! prize pack. Plus, your video will be shown on the Parkview Field’s Jumbotron during the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk! The Start! Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, September 18.
