Labor Day Picnic; new Gallup Poll

I didn’t go with the intention of taking a lot of photos, but this one I couldn’t resist.

Dr. Tom Hayhurst, who is running against US Congressman Mark Sounder in 2010 posed with Dick Merren and City Councilman Mitch Harper.  Harper was elected to Hayhurst’s former district seat on the City Council back in 2007.

Gallup Poll

A Gallup Poll was released last Thursday with the subject being Labor Unions which shows the current feelings towards labor unions at an all-time low.

I am wondering, as the article didn’t offer an explanation, if anyone might know reasons for the sharp drop off in the late ’50s starting in 1957.
