I received the following form letter today from Helen J. Murray, President and Chief Operating Officer of Indiana Michigan Power.
August 14, 2009
Dear Fort Wayne Customer,
You may be aware that the lease of City Light facilities, signed thirty-five years ago by I&M and the City of Fort Wayne, will expire on February 28, 2010.
I recently wrote a letter to the editors of Fort Wayne’s newspapers that explains why it is important for I&M to continue providing safe, reliable power in Fort Wayne. Â That letter is enclosed. Â I urge you to read it and consider how things could change if I&M is replaced as the electric provider. Â How the lease is ultimately resolved is an important matter for you as it could have an effect on the price you pay for electricity and the future of economic development for the region.
Indiana Michigan Power is grateful to have your business. Â We are proud of our record of providing safe, reliable service at competitive rates as well as our work to be a good neighbor in the Fort Wayne community. If you would like to speak to someone about this matter, you may call the I&M Customer Solutions Center at 1-800-311-4634 or send us an email via our website, IndianaMichiganPower.com.
Sincerely,
Helen J. Murray
President and Chief Operating Officer
Indiana Michigan Power
The form letter is part of I&M’s desire to be heard on this issue.
Thanks for posting. I’m actually Paulding-Putnam, so i didn’t get this letter.
Really? What high school did you graduate from?
Is that a crack on my grammar? What does that have to do with my comment?
It was a simple question asking where you came from as it sounds like you’re possibly close to my old stomping grounds. Sheesh, forget I even asked.
Hey that’s all you need to say. I went to New Haven, 1998 grad.
