Approval was given to the Harrison Square Walkway proposal today at the Redevelopment Commission and Local Historic Preservation Board’s meetings. The walkway will enter the building as shown here:
Highlights:
-
The Goldstine Foundation will give $550,000 for costs of the project.
-
Due to additions to the project, the cost will be $1,831,394 instead of the first reported $1 million. This is because of an added elevator, elevator shaft, stairwells and reconfiguration of a storage area on the third floor.Â
-
The walkway will not physically connect into the Indiana Hotel, instead, expansion joints will complete the connection.
-
The project will be completed by the time the new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel opens.
