Subway Sandwiches Demolished – 12/12/2007

Subway Sandwiches was demolished today.  I had my old camera with me, so the photos aren't the greatest today.  They were taken shortly before noon and at that time, only the posts that held the roof over the drive-thru were left.  I believe years ago, the building was first a Hot-N-Now Burger joint with drive-thru windows on each side...

Harrison Square Park Donor Named

Former Fort Wayne Mayor Robert E. Meyers' estate has been named as the donor of the funds for most of the cost of the new City park to be part of the Harrison Square project.  Meyers died in March, 2007.  The total gift is $300,000 and Al Moll, Parks Director stated the park might be named after him. 

The Harrison – 41 gone

According to Indiana's News Center, 41 of the 62 units in the Harrison are gone:  "Mike Brita/Condo Sales Manager: 'When we will call them back, they will actually pick their unit then, but if everybody stands true to what they wrote down on their reservation, the ballpark side is probably gone.'"

I stopped by Martin Goldstine Knapke this afternoon and was told that 40 of the units have been spoken for.

Subway Sandwiches Demolition – Excavation Progress

Martin crews were at the Subway Sandwiches on Jefferson removing the utility access today. Demolition should follow in the next day or two.    Also posted some photos from the excavation.

The Harrison – 36 gone

  WANE-15 reported this evening at 5 PM that five more of the condominiums were spoken for over the weekend, bringing the total to 36 leaving 26 units available.
