Rappel the PNC Building To Help Build \u201cStrong Neighborhoods\u201d in Allen County<\/strong>
\nNew initiative to bring mobility, security, and resources to residents<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 25, 2021) \u2013 United Way of Allen County will plan to host 92 rappelers on May 6 and 7 as they go \u201cOver The Edge\u201d to help raise funds for the launch of \u201cStrong Neighborhoods\u201d, a new initiative aimed to improve the quality of life in local neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

United Way is looking to engage local rappelling enthusiasts to participate and pledge to raise $1,000. The rappelers will use ropes to scale down 80 feet from the eighth floor of the PNC Building in downtown Fort Wayne. PNC Bank is sponsoring the two-day event. <\/p>\n

\u201cStrong Neighborhoods\u201d is a new program which will focus on removing barriers such as mobility, communication, or accessibility to allow for collaboration and relationship-building amongst neighbors. Funding for the program will provide a variety of services from transportation, health and wellness resources, financial education, and other ways to help connect residents and build stronger, safe, and healthy neighborhoods. Some of the services could provide: <\/p>\n
