February Indiana Employment Report<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Indianapolis, Indiana (March 26, 2021) \u2013 Indiana\u2019s unemployment rate stands at 4.0 percent for February, and the national rate is 6.2 percent. The monthly unemployment rate is a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicator that reflects the number of unemployed people seeking employment within the prior four weeks as a percentage of the labor force.<\/p>\n

Indiana\u2019s labor force had a net decrease of 4,971 over the previous month. This was a result of a decrease of 7,402 unemployed residents and an increase of 2,431 employed residents.<\/p>\n

Indiana’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.34 million, and the state\u2019s 63.2 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 61.4 percent.<\/p>\n
