Captured March 26, 2021 at 5:15 am.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MamaJo is the hard-working Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) that is drilling a tunnel around Fort Wayne which is called the 3RPORT Three Rivers Protection and Overflow Reduction Tunnel.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>She is currently under the Norfolk Southern Railway&#8217;s bridge near the Park Avenue\/Waldron Circle area, or Broad River neighborhood. According to Frank Suarez, PIO for City Utilities, they&#8217;ve completed over 20,000 feet with a remainder of approximately 3,900 feet left to go. The premier project &#8211; the deep rock tunnel &#8211; will be constructed in the bedrock deep below the city. The tunnel will collect and transport sewage from the combined sewer system to the sewage treatment plant.
