\"City<\/p>\n

The Redevelopment Commission meets Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 4 pm in the Commissioner’s Courtroom on the second floor of the City-County Building.<\/p>\n

The agenda may be downloaded here.<\/p>\n

Bids will be opened for construction of the Robert Goldstine pedestrian bridge. \u00c2\u00a0This will be the bridge between the Embassy Theatre and Courtyard by Marriott Hotel which is currently under construction. \u00c2\u00a0Labeled as a deal breaker when first announced, expect a lot of public scrutiny over this controversial aspect of the project. \u00c2\u00a0The City, according to agreements in 2007, is responsible for the construction of the bridge. \u00c2\u00a0The bridge will\u00c2\u00a0abut, but not be physically tied into the Embassy Theatre. \u00c2\u00a0Part of the controversy has been the limited access to the bridge that will be imposed by Courtyard once the project is completed. \u00c2\u00a0The limitations result from security concerns. \u00c2\u00a0Note this is only a bid opening – awarding of the contract will not take place until a later date, probably to be announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n

2006 – $155

\n2008 \u00c2\u00a0– $175
\n2009 – $175<\/p>\n
