Allen County Sheriff’s Department thanks teachers for their service and honors them as the true heroes in our community<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA (January 11, 2021) \u2013 The Allen County Sheriff\u2019s Department showed their support for the teachers of our community by thanking them and honoring them as true heroes. The department has developed a public service announcement that will include TV commercials and billboards around Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, educators are navigating new technology, new ways of teaching, and unimaginable student stressors all the while trying to \u201ckeep it together\u201d for themselves and for their families.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was our department\u2019s goal to rally the public to support, thank, and honor our teachers. Now more than ever teachers are being called upon to support social-emotional learning in addition to meeting educational goals. They are the true heroes of our community.\u201d
