FORT WAYNE INDIANA (January 2, 2021) – Fort Wayne Fire Department crews responded to an apartment fire in the 3200 block of South Clinton Street at 5:10 am to find fire coming from the second-floor windows of a vacant building. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Crews extinguished the fire while searching the first and second floor for any possible vagrants. The fire, which started in a second-floor apartment, was under control in just over 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

Crews remained on scene to assist with overhaul and investigations. Clinton Street was completely shut down.<\/p>\n

The FWFD was assisted by Fort Wayne Police Department, Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, NIPSCO, Indiana Michigan Power, and the Allen County Building Department.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
